About the surgery

Mission statement

Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, friendly, professional and personal primary health care service with time to discuss our patients’ health care concerns.

We will make it as easy as possible for our patients to make an appointment to see their doctor, nurse or other health care professional whilst meeting targets set by the Government.

We are actively involved in both the training and professional development of all members of the healthcare team.  This includes undergraduate and post graduate training of both doctors and nurses.

We strive to be part of our local community and a centre for excellence in the provision of Primary Health Care with ‘in house’ provision of a range of medical services.  We will provide this service by maintaining an efficient and effective business.

Meet the practice team.

It is with regret that Dr Helen Musgrove will be retiring from partnership at Mendip Country Practice on the 14th of May after more than 25 years at the practice. We are very grateful for everything she has contributed to the care and wellbeing of patients over the years and wish her the very best for the future.

Dr Musgrove’s list will be transferred to Dr Sophie Herbert who joined the practice on 31.03.25. Dr Herbert trained at University College London, completing her training in 2014, she has been a qualified GP since 2023, working in two London GP Practices.
