About the surgery

Mission statement

Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, friendly, professional and personal primary health care service with time to discuss our patients’ health care concerns.

We will make it as easy as possible for our patients to make an appointment to see their doctor, nurse or other health care professional whilst meeting targets set by the Government.

We are actively involved in both the training and professional development of all members of the healthcare team.  This includes undergraduate and post graduate training of both doctors and nurses.

We strive to be part of our local community and a centre for excellence in the provision of Primary Health Care with ‘in house’ provision of a range of medical services.  We will provide this service by maintaining an efficient and effective business.

A Farewell Message for Dr Rebecca Duffy

We would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to Dr Rebecca Duffy, our Senior Partner, who will be retiring at the end of November 2025.

Dr Duffy has played a key role in the development of the practice and has provided consistent and thoughtful care to her patients throughout her career. Her professionalism, experience, and steady leadership have been greatly valued by both colleagues and the wider community.

While we will miss working alongside her on a daily basis, we are pleased to share that Dr Duffy will continue to support the practice by returning to assist with clinical cover when needed.

Dr Duffy shared:

“It has been a great privilege to serve this community and work alongside such dedicated colleagues. I leave with many fond memories and deep gratitude for the trust and friendship shown to me over the years.”

We wish to thank Dr Duffy for everything she has contributed to Mendip Country Practice.

Dr Lehmann will be taking over the patient list of Dr Rebecca Duffy following her retirement from the partnership at the end of November 2025. Dr Lehmann shares our commitment to patient-centred care.

Dr Lehmann will be working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and alternate Thursdays.

Dr Lehmann said:

“I’m delighted to be joining Mendip Country Practice and look forward to getting to know my patients and to work as part of such a committed team.”

Please join us in welcoming Dr Lehmann to the practice.
